What? The Dairy GAFAs (Global Alternative Food Awards) are open to the following categories: Milk, Cheese, Butter, Yogurt, and Frozen. Both plant-based and cell-based dairy alternatives will be represented, from Mooala’s banana milk to TurtleTree Labs’ human breastmilk (yes really!)

Why? Because alternative dairy, especially cheese, is at a turning point. The new plantbased meats were game-changers in the food industry. We’re at the same point with cheese as we were with burgers just before Impossible Foods and Beyond Meat burst onto the food scene.

Where? The inaugural dairy GAFAs are being held March 14th in Austin, TX at the SXSW headquarters.
